Hi, I’m Gregor Timlin

For fifteen years I have been working as a product designer on projects to improve peoples health and wellbeing. This has involved the development of digital therapeutics, assistive technologies, combination drug and medical device therapies, digital applications, body wearables and even ingestible technology. I originally trained in industrial designer at the Dublin Institute of Technology before studying Design Products at the Royal College of Art & Design, London.

I specialise in the development of products and services for healthcare. I take a hands on approach to define, build, test and commercialise new products. I have worked in roles ranging from Principle UX Architect to VP Product Design, for multiple organisations, to create both the products and the capabilities required to deliver them.

I bring an evidenced-based and human-centred approach to product design. That means I regularly collaborate with patients, clinicians, scientists, academics, business owners, engineers and other design disciplines to develop new ideas, then underpin the development of these ideas with continual research and testing to make sure they work in the real world. If you are interested in seeing some of my past work you can browse the design section of this site. Here are a few examples:

A major component of building new product is growing and enabling teams capable of effective research, strategy, planning and execution. Often this aspect of my practice isn’t shared outside of the organisations I have worked with because the knowledge is proprietary. However, in the thinking section of this site you can see some past research, white papers and experiments which give an indication of how I think and apply these skills. Here are a few examples:
